Millie Richardson faced a harrowing experience when her daughter Georgia was born prematurely with serious conditions. Initially diagnosed with Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula (TOF) and Oesophageal Atresia (OA), Georgia required an emergency operation shortly after birth. At three weeks old, she suffered a brain bleed, leading to Hydrocephalus, necessitating multiple surgeries. During the COVID lockdown, Millie feared for her daughter's health. Now five, Georgia has overcome many obstacles and is a vibrant, sociable child who continues to face medical challenges with resilience and determination.

During COVID, we were terrified about how she would cope with illness. Thankfully, she has largely bounced back and is sociable and healthy.
Her initial conditions posed severe risks, but treatments that weren't available decades ago have allowed her to thrive.
