Brown cited local competition as the primary reason for the closure, which he described as a heavy heart decision. This location previously closed in 2014 but reopened in 2016 under new ownership. The closure affects nearly 50 employees, for whom Brown is seeking new job opportunities. Mellow Mushroom, headquartered in Atlanta, operates over 160 locations nationwide.
