On April 27 in Eastland, Texas, Stephen Daniel was mowing a lawn when he disturbed a bee hive, leading to a deadly attack. He attempted to escape by jumping into his truck but was chased by the bees, which continued to sting him even inside the vehicle. After crashing into a neighbor's yard, emergency responders found him swarmed by bees. Despite attempts to resuscitate him after he became unresponsive, Daniel was pronounced dead due to circulatory collapse caused by the bee stings. Ring camera footage captured the shocking incident.
"Before I walked up there I just started dialing 911 because I didn't know, like he was in someone's yard at first...you could just see like something swarming."
"Officers immediately evacuated the driver from the area...to escape further bee stings...the driver while in the ambulance became unresponsive and stopped breathing."
