The Nintendo Switch 2 is set to release on June 5, accompanied by the long-awaited GameCube library in Nintendo's Classics collection. This will offer subscribers higher-resolution versions of beloved GameCube games, with customizable controls available for enhanced playability. A special wireless controller mimicking the original GameCube design will also be available simultaneously. The GameCube titles will be accessible exclusively through the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier, with costs set at $80 a year, although potential price changes remain uncertain. As with existing classic libraries, titles will be periodically added and may change over time.
The GameCube library will launch the same day as the Nintendo Switch 2 releases, providing access to classic games with enhanced resolution and customizable controls.
Players can look forward to a custom wireless controller resembling the original GameCube controller, also set to release alongside the Switch 2.
