The Braves went into the college arm crop again in the third round to take Indiana right-handed pitcher Luke Sinnard. Sinnard is an interesting prospect with a four-pitch mix and good command, three pitches could be above-average or better. Of course there is a catch on how an arm up to 96 MPH with two swing and miss breaking balls is even available, as he is currently injured and not expected to pitch this season.
He didn't pitch this year due to the injury, which required Tommy John surgery at the end of last season. The Braves draft another injured pitcher, this time going with Luke Sinnard. Sinnard could be a steal if he stays healthy and could have been a day one pick.
