A fracture is obviously more significant than just general soreness or pain. There is no immediate reporting of an expected timeframe for Albies to potentially return, but the Braves are obviously doing the right thing to ensure no further injury occurs.
As a result of placing Albies on the 10-Day injured list, the Braves selected the contract of veteran utility player David Fletcher. It will be interesting to see how the Braves use Fletcher along with Luis Guillorme to replace Albies in the near future.
Without a doubt, the loss of Albies will be significant, as he has produced a .317/.386/.492 triple slash line with two home runs and 14 RBIs.
