Ozzie Albies placed on the 10-day injured list with a right great toe fracture after taking this pitch off his front foot in the 2nd inning last night.
This will not be the first foot injury for Albies, who was sidelined for a significant time in 2022 due to a foot fracture. Luckily, though, this injury will not require surgery, and Albies could return in a couple weeks.
The Braves continue to be plagued with injuries, including the absence of Sean Murphy and Spencer Strider. The club selected the contract of infielder David Fletcher to provide depth at second base.
