LHP A.J. Minter today underwent left hip surgery, performed by Dr. Thomas Byrd in Nashville, TN. He will miss the remainder of the 2024 season.

It's also miserable timing for the Braves who have seen key player after key player go down with injury this season, and now have another hole to plug in the back of their bullpen.

Minter has been dealing with this hip problem most of the season and already spent time on the IL for it back in May as well as again on August 12th.

It's a tough blow and horrible timing for Minter, as he's set to become a free agent at the end of the season, and will now have to find a suitable contract despite his 2024 season ending prematurely because of injury.
