The tallest Christmas tree in London has been unveiled
"The tree in question can be found in the Shoreditch office of ad agency Mother. It's not one big tree, rather 70 individual trees entwined together and spiralling all the way up the building's staircase, decked out with light-up stars. It measures nearly 100ft (equivalent to the height of around seven double deckers), dwarfing Trafalgar Square's 66ft Norwegian spruce and the 67ft Eastern City Tree at Pan Pacific London."
"Felix Richter, the chief creative officer at Mother, said: 'We wanted to create something that captures the energy and creativity of our agency at Christmas. It's a bit chaotic, a bit over the top, and entirely ours. We thought London might want to see it too.' Members of the public can see the treenado for themselves (and claim a free mince pie and cup of mulled wine) everyday between December 15 and 19 from 3pm."
An installation of 70 individual fir trees entwined and spiralling up an office staircase in Shoreditch reaches nearly 100ft and is named the 'Christmas Treenado'. The installation occupies the Shoreditch office of ad agency Mother and is decked with light-up stars. Its height equals about seven double-deckers and exceeds Trafalgar Square's 66ft Norwegian spruce and Pan Pacific London's 67ft Eastern City Tree. Felix Richter, Chief Creative Officer at Mother, described the piece as capturing the agency's energy and creativity, calling it chaotic, over the top and entirely theirs. The public can visit between December 15 and 19 from 3pm, with a free mince pie and mulled wine available by booking.
