The collective experience of translating art for people who are blind
Briefly

Room 1 of the Emilio Caraffa Provincial Fine Arts Museum in Cordoba has launched an innovative exhibition fully accessible to people who are blind or have low vision. Featuring 26 artworks by women, the exhibition 'Narrar historias con fragmentos' allows blind visitors to enjoy the art through crafted audio descriptions. This unique setup includes a guided circuit and QR codes that provide vital information, contributing to a barrier-free cultural experience initiated by activist Jimena Lopez and supported by a multidisciplinary team.
The Caraffa Museum’s accessibility initiative allows blind and low-vision visitors to engage with art through audio descriptions, creating a uniquely inclusive experience.
This exhibition, featuring works by women, is unique in Argentina, providing an innovative way for visually impaired audiences to connect with the artwork.
