The Eco-Museum and Orla Piratininga Park, launched in Rio de Janeiro, exemplify a significant environmental revitalization effort that aims to enhance local ecology and community engagement. As the largest phytoremediation project in Latin America, it spans 720,000 square meters, focusing on managing pollution and improving water quality in the Piratininga Lagoon. Designed by KAAN Architecten and supported by the POP consortium, the park offers various recreational facilities and promotes biodiversity through the use of native plant species, filtering gardens, and community involvement.
