Briefly

The 'Archives Inside Out' exhibit at Harvard showcases items from the archives, including a handwritten note from JFK and a letter from W.E.B. Du Bois. The goal is to demystify archival work and make it accessible to the public, highlighting both institutional and community histories. Curators sought submissions from staff to select items that tell compelling stories while representing the archives' functions. The exhibit is open until April 30 at Pusey Library, emphasizing the rich narrative these items contribute to understanding Harvard and America's history.
"We wanted to demystify the work that we do and make it more accessible to the public," University Archivist Virginia Hunt said of the goal of the exhibit.
"From the submissions, we selected items that not only tell compelling stories but also best represent the form and function of the University Archives," said Sarah Martin, Associate University Archivist.
