William Shakespeare's 'Cymbeline' will be performed by the Actors Ensemble of Berkeley from July 4 to July 20, 2025. This free production takes place in the picturesque John Hinkel Park Amphitheater, showcasing a captivating narrative intertwined with themes of love, betrayal, and hope. The story centers around Imogen, the daughter of King Cymbeline, navigating treachery and court intrigue while striving to reunite with her banished love, Posthumus. The production aims to be accessible, offering reserved seating for those with mobility challenges.
Cymbeline is a dark fairy tale of love and loss, loyalty and betrayal, grief and survival, with multiple interwoven story lines that all converge in a final scene of forgiveness, reconciliation, and hope.
The performance is open to the public and free. Reservations not required, but accepted especially for those with limited mobility and/or wheelchair users and their companions.
