The Pokemon 'AI plagiarism' row engulfing Palworld raises so many questions
Briefly

Palworld's success is proof that, despite protestations, most people will cave & use an AI product because of some loophole. 'It's fun' 'It doesn't feel like AI' etc. It'll be a sad day when this happens on a wide scale for other creative endeavors. Books, music, art. It sucks.
I'm getting spammed with questions about Palworld so I'll for now, my stance is that I don't think we should particularly worry about videogames 'stealing' seams or themes from one another. That said, on encounters of plagiarism or of unfair copying, we should carefully assess the damage done in each individual case.
