Nvidia said revenue for its third quarter, which ended in October, tripled from a year earlier to $18.1 billion, while profit surged nearly fourteenfold, to $9.2 billion.
The company's growth has exploded despite furious competition from other big chip makers, a number of start-ups as well as the in-house creations of some of its major customers.
