"Gemini CLI provides lightweight access to Gemini, giving you the most direct path from your prompt to our model," said Google in a blog post.
"By allowing up to 60 model requests per minute and 1,000 per day for free, we are offering the industry's largest allowance," according to Google's blog.
Google has integrated Gemini CLI with Gemini Code Assist, enabling users on various plans to utilize it effectively within VS Code.
Gemini 2.5 Pro is a reasoning model designed for executing complex queries, particularly in code-writing tasks, enhancing developer productivity.
