Warp has added a version of its artificial intelligence (AI) agent for writing code that integrates directly within a command line interface (CLI). Company CEO Zach Lloyd said rather than working with AI agents within the context of an integrated development environment, Warp Code embeds AI agents with a CLI that is likely to prove more appealing to some developers and many DevOps engineers that prefer a traditional terminal-based coding experience.

This program implements a command-line interface that accepts a markdown file as a command-line argument, reads its content, and prints the entire content to the terminal.

Gemini CLI is a mostly free, open-source, command-line AI workflow tool that connects to your tools, understands your code, and accelerates your workflows.

"Gemini CLI provides lightweight access to Gemini, giving you the most direct path from your prompt to our model," said Google in a blog post.

Atlassian has introduced a CLI for Rovo Dev, an AI agent that assists developers in code completion, debugging, documentation generation, and integration with Jira and Confluence.
