Google's first Arm-based CPU will challenge Microsoft and Amazon in the AI race

Google is making its own Arm-based CPU, dubbed Axion, to support its AI work in data centers. The new chip is expected to be available to business customers of Google Cloud later this year.

The Axion Arm-based CPU is reported to offer 30% better performance than general-purpose Arm chips and 50% more than Intel's current processors.
