Foxconn has launched FoxBrain, a large language model developed with Nvidia technology to enhance manufacturing and supply chains in Taiwan. Built on Meta's Llama 3.1 architecture and trained on 120 Nvidia H100 GPUs, FoxBrain excels in data analysis, decision-making, and code generation. Although slightly less powerful than China's DeepSeek, FoxBrain is poised to significantly boost efficiency and innovation in industrial processes. Initially used for internal purposes, Foxconn plans to broaden its applications, with certain components becoming open-source to facilitate wider AI adoption in the sector.
"FoxBrain will provide capabilities such as data analysis, decision-making, document management, problem-solving, and code generation. This model is optimized for traditional Chinese and Taiwanese."
"Although it is just slightly behind China's DeepSeek in performance, it is globally competitive. FoxBrain's development highlights the growing role of AI in reshaping global industries."
