Paul Hudson, CEO of Sanofi, emphasized that while AI has great potential in healthcare, executives often exaggerate its capabilities, leading to 'AI washing' in the industry.
According to Hudson, Sanofi has implemented an AI ethical review board to better calibrate AI projects and mitigate risks associated with overstated AI promises.
Hudson distinguishes between 'expert AI' which accelerates drug discovery, and 'snackable AI' which aids customers in making everyday healthcare decisions.
Estimating that around 18,000 customers use Sanofi's AI in a 'snackable format' daily, Hudson believes this approach can democratize data and improve decision-making.
