In this article, the author reflects on their dependency on AI tools in daily work as a developer and technical writer. Conducting a pseudo-experiment by blocking all AI resources for a day, they faced challenges that highlighted both the benefits and potential drawbacks of AI reliance. While acknowledging the productivity boosts AI provides, the author expresses concern over the diminishing critical thinking and problem-solving skills among users. Ultimately, the article serves as a call for balance in using AI technologies without losing essential human capabilities.
