"Apple has never used Siri data to build marketing profiles, never made it available for advertising, and never sold it to anyone for any purpose," the tech giant said in a Wednesday.
"Siri has been engineered to protect user privacy and is the most private digital assistant," Apple stated, emphasizing that it doesn't keep audio recordings unless users opt in.
Last week, Apple agreed to pay $95 million to settle a lawsuit alleging that Siri covertly recorded conversations for more than a decade, even when not activated.
Consumers can receive up to $20 for every device they own equipped with Siri, capped at five devices per individual, contingent on claims filed.
