"Dr. Marcel Frank, Managing Director of RVK, stated: 'We are very pleased that with the new Hürth site we are taking such an important step for mobility. Capacity, infrastructure, modern offices, a fully equipped workshop, and the control center - all in one place - strengthen public transport to a very high level.'"
"District Director Svenja Udelhoven emphasized: 'The new Hürth site represents a major benefit for mobility in the region. In particular, the promotion and support of alternative drivetrains at this location is a clear signal that RVK is optimizing its infrastructure toward the goal of zero emissions.'"
Regionalverkehr Köln GmbH has inaugurated a new site in Hürth, expanding its capacity significantly. The complex spans 29,000 square meters and serves as a regional mobility hub. More than 130 employees are based there, with a workshop designed for various propulsion types, including hydrogen and battery-electric buses. An extensive charging infrastructure will be implemented. The completion of buildings is set for autumn 2026, with operational facilities starting next year. The new site aims to enhance public transport and promote zero emissions.
