The European Union has announced an additional funding of nearly 1 billion euros aimed at constructing charging stations primarily for trucks and buses. This initiative was revealed by European Transport Commissioner Apostolos Tzitzikostas. This funding comes on top of the 1.2 billion euros already allocated over the past three years to foster electric mobility. The Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Facility (AFIF) will manage this funding, assisting companies in investing in the charging network to establish a more robust infrastructure across Europe.
