BYD has unveiled its new autonomous driving system, dubbed "God's Eye," which will be integrated into all new models released in China. This system consists of three tiers, with the entry-level version costing around $9,300, bringing advanced features usually found in high-end vehicles to a budget market. The highest tier employs three LiDAR units for comprehensive automated driving, while the lowest tier includes a sophisticated array of cameras and sensors designed for freeway navigation. Each version will also leverage AI enhancements through DeepSeek, showcasing BYD's commitment to innovation and accessibility in autonomous driving.
Dubbed God's Eye, or DiPilot, this new system will be available on all new BYDs in China, free of charge, representing a significant innovation in accessible semi-autonomous driving.
BYD plans on giving every car it makes a suite of self-driving features, starting from the low-cost model at $9,300 to the high-end Yangwang vehicles.
The most interesting and game-changing tier will be the lowest-cost version: God's Eye C, or DiPilot 100, which uses an advanced camera and radar system.
All three variants will be connected to DeepSeek, which will enhance the car's AI capabilities in some way, indicating a push toward smarter automotive solutions.
