Arriva is introducing 16 new SOR electric buses in Kladno, Czech Republic
Briefly

Arriva Czech Republic committed to the introduction of zero-emission vehicles in Kladno after being awarded a 10-year €57m contract by ČSAD MHD Kladno in 2021. This commitment is part of a broader strategy to reduce emissions in public transport and aligns with European Union goals to promote sustainable practices in urban mobility.
The e-buses are manufactured in the Czech Republic and are equipped with advanced features like Wi-Fi, heat pump technology, USB ports, and low floors for easier accessibility, enhancing the passenger experience significantly.
Arriva has partnered with ČEZ ESCO and ČSAD MHD Kladno to develop the largest and most advanced charging hub in the Czech Republic, with plans to expand as more diesel and CNG buses are transitioned to electric vehicles. This is a key step in promoting sustainable public transportation.
Sian Leydon, Arriva Group's Managing Director for Mainland Europe, stated that the Czech Republic's transition to electric buses is gaining momentum and is essential for achieving a future of zero-emission public transport.
