Starbucks is introducing two new coffee bean roasts, Milano Sole and Milano Luna, collectively known as the Milano Duetto, available in cafes nationwide starting October 1.
The Milano Duetto roasts reflect Starbucks' homage to Italian coffee culture, emphasizing the historical link and inspiration from Howard Shultz’s transformative trip to Italy in the ‘80s.
The roasts consist of the same coffee beans - a blend of Colombia and Sumatra - but differ in roasting style, symbolizing Starbucks' history and Italian tradition.
Starbucks' coffee developer, Sergio Alvarez, mentioned the commitment to crafting perfect brews, highlighting the extensive tasting process of 300 to 500 cups of coffee weekly to refine flavors.
