"Massimiliano Allegri was given a red card last night, but it should've potentially been the other way around and AC Milan can, and will, feel hard done by. In split seconds, brief moments can change games and Milan may have witnessed that last night, as Allegri was given a red card on the sidelines for his reaction to an incident in the 78th minute. Whilst it may not have been clear at the time, footage shows it clearly."
"As seen below, with Como collecting the ball, Alexis Saelemaekers attempts to start to try and get the ball back. Here, Cesc Fabregas clearly reaches out to hold the Belgian back, and the winger's reaction is instant. Allegri, understandably, was fuming at this. Yet, instead of the Spaniard being sent on his way, the Italian was shown a red and missed the final 10 minutes, which have often been crucial for the Rossoneri. A ridiculous decision, and he will now be suspended."
Massimiliano Allegri received a red card on the sidelines in the 78th minute for his reaction to an on-field incident. Cesc Fabregas reached out to hold Alexis Saelemaekers as Como cleared the ball, preventing the Milan winger from chasing. Saelemaekers reacted instantly to the hold. Allegri protested the holding but the referee dismissed the player and instead showed Allegri a red card. Allegri was sent off and missed the final ten minutes of the match. Video footage clearly shows Fabregas pulling Saelemaekers. The decision has led to a suspension for Allegri and feelings of injustice from AC Milan.
