LAFC has proved itself to be the best team in MLS.Now it gets another chance to see how it measures up against the best in Mexico.A 3-0 win over the Philadelphia Union on Tuesday night in the second leg of the teams' CONCACAF Champions League semifinal series gave LAFC a 4-1 aggregate victory and a spot in the tournament final against the winner of the other semifinal matchup between Liga MX clubs Tigres UANL and Club León.

LAFC is returning to the CONCACAF Champions League final after beating the Philadelphia Union 3-0 on Tuesday night at BMO Stadium to advance from the semifinals 4-1 on aggregate.The defending MLS Cup champions held a narrow advantage coming into match after scoring an away goal in the 1-1 draw in Philadelphia on April 26, and they ended up running away with the second leg with goals from Timothy Tillman, Kwadwo Opoku and Denis Bouanga.

Second-placed Real Madrid suffered a 2-0 defeat at Real Sociedad in LaLiga after being reduced to 10 men when defender Dani Carvajal was sent off early in the second half on Tuesday.The result gives leaders Barcelona the chance to clinch their 27th LaLiga title with a win in their next game at city rivals Espanyol on May 14.

Real Madrid could be stripped of their current label as the champions of Spain by the end of next week after falling to defeat at Real Sociedad.The ten men of Los Blancos were poor throughout in the Basque country and now sit 14 points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona with only five games to go.They could also be overtaken by city rivals Atletico Madrid should they win their game in hand.

Barcelona took another step towards a first LaLiga title since 2019 as they thumped 10-man Real Betis 4-0 at Spotify Camp Nou on Saturday.Andreas Christensen headed Barca into a 14th-minute lead before Betis were reduced to 10 men just after the half hour mark when Edgar Gonzalez was sent off for two bookings.

Inter Milan moved into the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time since 2011 as they eliminated Porto in their last-16 tie.Porto had a good chance early on but Andre Onana made a fine save to keep out Mateus Uribe's 25-yard strike.Mehdi Taremi hit the post and then the crossbar in injury time for Porto but Inter managed to hold on.

Erik ten Hag branded the officiating during Manchester United's goalless draw with Southampton as inconsistent after Casemiro was sent off early on in the contest, which subsequently means the midfielder missing four domestic matches.Anthony Taylor made the decisions after being requested by the VAR to check the pitchside monitor having initially given Casemiro a yellow for a challenge on Carlos Alcaraz.

Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior scored in extra time as Real Madrid fought back to beat local rivals Atletico 3-1 on Thursday and reach the Copa del Rey semifinals.Forward Alvaro Morata, a former Real academy player, put Atletico ahead with a close-range strike in the 19th minute and Real substitute Rodrygo equalised in the 79th with a delightful goal, dribbling past three defenders before finishing well.
