Flamingo Estate just restocked their iconic, worth-every-penny strawberry fruit snacks. Made from Harry's Berries' truly perfect organic strawberries, the result is insanely addictive, sweet, tart and spicy with a delectable chew.
The signature bar snack (or as the menu playfully puts it, "snak") here is Sinclair's riff on Chex Mix, which incorporates crunchy ramen noodles, almonds, and spicy-oily Sichuan chile crisp ($12). You'd be remiss not to order some of Sinclair's fluffy focaccia. I had it as part of the Rosemary's Other Baby plate, which came with a rosemary-laced tomato jam that the owner thriftily imparts added flavor from the bar's wine.

Mizunara is the third release in the distillery's Oak Masters' Series, which also includes White Oak and White Oak 24-Year-Old expressions. Mizunara is native to Japan's northern island of Hokkaido. It's an extremely rare oak and quite difficult to work with because it's very porous, making it difficult to craft into casks. But the effort is almost always worth it, as the oak brings out sandalwood, incense, floral and even tropical notes.
