James Burrows' role on The Comeback, where he plays a thinly veiled version of himself, isn't a big one. Over the course of the HBO sitcom's three seasons, he's only appeared in eight episodes, sometimes for no more than a single scene. And yet he serves a critical function in its overarching story about the travails of an aging TV actress, one that's made his brief appearances both memorable and often surprisingly moving.

Valerie's journey reflects a shift in her desires; she no longer just wants to be seen but now expects to be heard, showcasing her growth.

Look at all these legendary movies, and now How's That?! can be the big TV hit for Stage 24. The documentary camera zooms in on the shows listed on the plaque under 'television,' including Mike & Molly, Full and Fuller House, and, most conspicuously, Friends.

The trailer begins with Cavallari noting that she and Conrad 'never had a conversation on-camera, just the two of us.' Other real O.C.-ers coming back to stir up decades-old drama include Stephen Colletti, Lo Bosworth, Talan Torriero, Trey Phillips, Christina Shuller, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith, and Alex Hooser.

Lisa and I would meet every couple of weeks for lunch - quote, unquote - and then we'd get around to, 'What do you think Valerie would be doing right now?' King said at SXSW, where the first two episodes of the third and final season of what they're now calling 'a trilogy' screened to a rapt audience of The Comeback die-hards.

Peter Tork from the Monkees had a strange little quirk. Sometimes, when other actors were delivering their lines Tork would unthinkingly mouth their dialogue along with them, as seen in this YouTube compilation. Once you spot it, it makes the show (which was already kinda weird) weird in a whole new way.

We obviously grew up together and spent a lot of time on camera together, she said. To not have that for 20 years and work with different people and have all these different experiences, and then come back together? Oh my god, I remember how much I know you on camera and you know me on camera.' It's so special, and it was so much fun because we work really well together.

When I look back at the things I've done so far, I realized that the through line is characters that go through really transformative arcs. I wanted to make this person almost unrecognizable by the end of the show, because that's really what happens to him. He accesses this real rage that has been living in him his whole life but can now be channeled into something tangible and real and hopefully positive.

Oh man, if you're watching the MTV version, it looks like it's pretty tough out there. But there is no amount of time in Laguna Beach that could have trained me for the Castle.
