A rare severe flooding threat will follow a prolific tornado outbreak across the Midwest and Southern US this week.
Flood warnings enacted for Solano and Yolo counties, effective from Monday morning until Tuesday morning, highlighting minor flooding risks and sage advice for residents on safety.
The city of Los Angeles will open cooling centers in South L.A., the San Fernando Valley and the Eastside to provide a break from the extreme heat expected in the region. Temperatures are forecasted to reach 95 to 105 degrees in L.A. County and 100 to 110 degrees in the Antelope Valley, with the weather service expecting a cool down by Wednesday.
