Hasbro disclosed unauthorized access to its systems, an intrusion first detected on 28 March that has since forced the company to take parts of its infrastructure offline and warn that product deliveries could be delayed for weeks.
In the Central California case, Spin Master is asserting U.S. Patent No. 9868073, titled Transformable Toy and issued to Spin Master this January. The PFAS concentrations detected in pet food in this study are a significant source of daily exposure for companion animals. Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances are a class of synthetic chemicals often used in plastics, cleaning products and non-stick coatings. They can take over 1,000 years to break down and have been detected in nearly all environments including remote Arctic areas, deep oceans, drinking water and human blood.
Labubus, toothy gremlins made by the Chinese toy company Pop Mart, have become one of China's hottest cultural exports. In the first half of 2025 alone, the Monsters line of toys, which includes Labubus, generated 4.8bn yuan (511m) in sales for the Hong Kong-listed company. In August, Pop Mart's chief executive, Wang Ning, said the company was on track to reach 20bn yuan in revenues in 2025.
For three decades, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has been smashing vehicles with an adult-sized dummy sitting in the front seat, simulating a type of head-on collision where two vehicles are slightly offset. It's always been a challenging test, above and beyond the minimum standards that car companies are legally required to meet. The IIHS conducts tests and independently awards safety ratings that are meant to reward companies for superior safety, well exceeding minimum standards.
This is the second recall of the Nestlé products in just over a week, and comes due to the potential presence of a toxin called cereulide. Cereulide is produced by some strains of the bacterium, bacillus cereus, which can cause food poisoning. The FSAI is once again advising parents, guardians and caregivers to refrain from using the recalled products, as the cereulide is "extremely heat resistant" and consumption of the toxin can lead to "nausea and severe vomiting".
My grandmother's refrigerator ran for forty years. The washing machine she bought in the 1970s? Still spinning when she passed away. Meanwhile, I'm on my third coffee maker in five years, and don't get me started on the laptop that mysteriously died two weeks after the warranty expired. This isn't just bad luck or nostalgia talking. There's something fundamentally different about how products are made today versus decades ago.
