The Times Square branch, at 7 Times Square, closed in early March after opening in 2023, according to Crain's New York Business. Delivery and reservation platforms now mark the Times Square location as permanently closed.
The new store preserves the building's historic character-keeping original brick walls exposed-while layering in contemporary materials such as metallic finishes, reflective surfaces, and semi‑gloss flooring.
"The expansion positions NYC Alliance for continued growth while strengthening its design, showroom and operational presence in the historic fashion corridor," Peter Braus said, according to the New York Post.
In that small 30-block zone last year, there were 486 reported crashes, injuring 76 cyclists, 108 pedestrians (one fatally) and 67 motorists, according to city stats. That's more than a crash every day, injuring more than 250 people.

The MTA has officially kicked off a pilot program that will pipe 30-second audio ads into select subway and commuter rail stations every 10 minutes. The spots will be capped at 75 decibels, roughly the volume of a loud conversation, a vacuum or heavy traffic. The MTA hopes that these ads will generate income to keep the system running.
