The Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics are ending with a bang as the U.S. and Canada are set to battle it out for the gold medal in men's hockey. While the match is taking place in the early hours of Sunday, several places in Toronto are opening up their doors and beer taps for excited fans ahead of the puck drop at 8:10 a.m.
It looks good from the outside, and it looks good from the inside. There have been a lot of teams practicing today, so it was chewed up pretty good, but the ice felt pretty good. It is never going to be perfect circumstances. The ice isn't great in Toronto, either. You kind of live with it. I am sure it will get better and better throughout the tournament.
I was fortunate enough to be in attendance representing Raptors Rapture and FanSided, and man, I can honestly say that this morning of hoops is up there for one of the loudest crowds I've ever been a part of. Of course, when you jam-pack an arena full of some, 15,000-plus kiddos and their respective chaperones from across the GTA, you can bet they'll be able to raise the decibel levels inside the Bank, no problem.
