In "Rebuilding," a Colorado cowboy sifts through the ashes of the life that once sustained him, struggling to find a way forward after wildfires take his family farm. In U.S. theaters Nov. 7, via Bleecker Street, this elegiac story of one rancher's journey through an environmentally devastated American West is Max Walker-Silverman 's achingly tender second feature, following "A Love Song."

In addition to adding a new mountain area with two new dungeons, Woolhaven will introduce ranching, so you can raise animals - the regular, non-anthropomorphic kind - to keep as pets, shear for wool or slaughter for meat (you know, if you have no heart). Based on the overview video, we'll get to raise cows(ish), goats and sheep as well as some more unexpected critters like crabs, snails, spiders and turtles.

Two riders search the hills at the base of the Elkhorns, the Montana range above my family's ranch. Another rider and I go low, and as we round a bend, our offending cows come into view. Some lounge, others twitch their tails as the neighbors' three red bulls drool and huff. As we move our cattle into a bunch, calves find their mothers and knock noses into milkbags.

In 2001, Don and Bo Sosebee picked a spot for their house on a small hill overlooking a pasture where their horses and cattle roamed. They spent the next three years building a one-story cabin there. Don hauled in 6×12 logs from Mount Juliet, Tennessee, for the frame. He lined the interior walls with lumber from his old barn and nailed white pine across the ceiling.
