Originally built in 1967, the multilevel contemporary was renovated by AUX Architects during Lehrer's ownership and features a music studio, a yoga room and a swimming pool with a raised spa. White-walled interiors include an open-plan living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room, a chef's kitchen and an office/den.
The actor commissioned local architect William Kesling to build the retreat close to the studios so he could go there during filming. The Streamline Moderne design, with exterior horizontal "speed lines" and wing-like pergola gates, reflects Beery's love of aircraft and flying.
