Out of 32 picks: Not one of the draft experts cracked 20 percent. I don't see this as a failure, that is just the nature of the beast. One grade can shift multiple picks and wreck slot projections. Jeremiah led here, but the margin was two picks.

Putting aside the Crosby trade rumors for now, here's a list of expected free agent edge rushers: Trey Hendrickson, Odafe Oweh, Jaelan Phillips, Khalil Mack, K'Lavon Chaisson, Boye Mafe, Joey Bosa and Jadeveon Clowney. The main thing that impresses me is the variety. Oweh, Chaisson and Mafe are speed artists who can create pressure fast. Guys like Mack, Clowney and Kingsley Enagbare (Packers) are all hitters in the running game.

According to Guiness World Records, the fewest net passing yards allowed in a game came when the Dallas Cowboys held the Denver Broncos to 35 at Super Bowl XII following the 1977 season. Broncos quarterback Craig Morton completed four of 11 passes in the first half for 39 yards and four interceptions. After Morton started the third quarter with four more incomplete passes and a sack, he was replaced by Norris Weese, who completed four of 10 passes for 22 yards.

Matthew Stafford has been named NFL Most Valuable Player and confirmed he will return for another season with the Los Angeles Rams. The 37-year-old edged New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye in one of the closest MVP races in league history before using his acceptance speech to announce he is not retiring. Stafford received 24 of 50 first-place votes in balloting by a nationwide panel of media members and finished with 366 points.
