The project was delivered by the campus's original design team, initially commissioned to create a conventional commemorative sculpture, but they reimagined the essence of 'commemoration'.

When you design your home with intentionality, you are essentially 'hard-coding' healthy behaviors into your daily rhythm. Health outcomes are the result of thousands of micro-decisions—so in his own home, he prioritized spaces like the kitchen, whose open layout makes cooking a pleasure, and the gym, centrally located.

Aurinkokallio Daycare Center is located in Kannelmaki, Helsinki, replacing the old daycare building from the 1970s. The three-story building is carefully placed on the sloping plot, as an urban infill between existing apartment buildings and a verdant forest park.

The project faces the historic site of the Vichy parks. It is part of an ambitious project to reclaim the water body, which began with the renovation of the right bank of Lake Allier in 2014 and the left bank in 2019.

Gropius, who from 1919 to 1928 directed the Bauhaus in Weimar and Dessau, designed the house in 1921-22 for lawyer Fritz Otte. The property is considered a dramatic evolution of Gropius's earlier seminal Haus Sommerfeld, which was also located in Berlin, but destroyed in World War II. The Bauhaus founder embraced a forward-looking approach with an unadorned, sharp-edged structure that rejected the heaviness of 19th-century historicism.

We didn't have any specific guidelines; rather, there was complete trust and a lot of fun. Since they're my friends, we understood each other very well. That creative freedom led to a complete transformation of the small apartment, which is in a modernist townhouse from the 1930s.

The Noon Repose Pavilion is located on the bank of a rural river in Huizhou, a city in southern China, along the scenic route encircling Nankun Mountain and Luofu Mountain. Huizhou was once a place of exile for the Northern Song scholar Su Shi. During his years there, exile did not result in withdrawal from life, but rather intensified his attention to its everyday rhythms.

For many the term is being quickly cliched; simply used as a marketing ploy: gimmicky solutions that are surface level at best but often permanent. What would happen if this formula was turned on its head and the early modernist notion of modularity - pre-produced kit-of-part components brought to and assembled on almost any site - was reintroduced as a way to better frame these settings, allowing their histories to unfold with almost no tampering.

Lacum Respira is a lakeside pavilion by .ket bureau on the shore of Lake St. Moritz in Switzerland. Set at the water's edge, the timber structure addresses a landscape shaped by seasonal rituals and a long tradition of outdoor life, where the lake acts as both foreground and horizon. The calm setting is defined by open air and backdropped by dramatic mountains. Any architectural move here carries weight.
