For the last decade, shoppers on sites like The RealReal, Poshmark or Depop didn't mind scavenging endless feeds of pre-owned products if it meant potentially scoring a vintage Armani tuxedo blazer or a Tom Ford-era Gucci bag. The resellers, in turn, enabled this behaviour by continually flooding their marketplaces with treasures.

South Bay authorities announce bust of million-dollar retail theft, gift card schemes

SAN JOSE - South Bay law enforcement officials announced they have arrested a half-dozen people and recovered more than $1 million in merchandise stolen from major regional retailers, including Home Depot and Target, as part of an organized theft outfit that trafficked the goods online.
