The shirt shows a man wearing a laurel wreath, the quadriga chariot drawn by four horses atop the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin and core details like the dates and location of the Summer Games in the capital. It's part of a collection of shirts for each of the modern-era Games, but, nonetheless, references probably the most politically contentious ones. There are no references to Hitler's government or its symbols and iconography on the shirt.

Traditionally, the organizers for an Olympic host city choose each Games' torchbearers. Sometimes they are selected for their athletic achievements, sometimes for their celebrity. (Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams from the gay hockey show likely fall into the latter category.) You can also just apply to be a torchbearer, and citizens who have distinguished themselves through commitment, solidarity, or significant work are often selected.

Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, the stars of the hit television series Heated Rivalry, have been named official torchbearers for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. The actors will carry the Olympic flame during the torch relay that concludes in Milan on 6 February, the day of the opening ceremony that will be centered in the city's San Siro football stadium.
