In response to the activation of a Hamas explosive device that wounded our forces today prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and defence minister Israel Katz instructed the elimination of the terrorist Raed Saed, head of Hamas' force buildup, the premier and the defence minister said in a joint statement. The Israeli military described Saed as one of the architects of the 7 October 2023 attack on Israel that sparked the war in Gaza.
"The IDF failed in its primary mission on October 7th to protect the civilians of the State of Israel," Zamir said, referring to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). "This is a severe, resounding, systemic failure, relating to decisions and conduct on the eve of the event and during it," he said. "The lessons of that day are numerous and significant, and they must serve as our compass for the future toward which I intend to lead the IDF."
"Do you think this attack came in a particular context?" the journalist asks Taasa, played by Yael Abecassis. "Excuse me?" she asks. "This story has two sides," the journalist says.
