Air Force combat search-and-rescue, also known as CSAR, is the military's force dedicated to rescuing downed aircrew. Combat search-and-rescue missions are dangerous under the best of conditions, ideally on dark nights with no moonlight.
A car went into the water at the Sausalito Yacht Harbor Monday afternoon. Two people were in that car and both were rescued -- a bystander was able to dive in and pull one person out. That person was taken to the hospital. An emergency dive team was deployed to the scene and rescued the second person, who seems OK.
I stood on the edge of a cliff in Howth, clipped into a harness, listening as a Coast Guard officer calmly checked the ropes that were about to lower me down. Below, waves broke against the rocks at Whitewater Brook while walkers passed along the paths near us, largely unaware of the training exercise taking place just metres away.
Fire crews at the scene determined a man was stuck in an excavation hole 12 feet down and was trapped by their foot, Toronto Fire told CBC News. They said crews are setting up a trench rescue, which will secure the walls on either side of the person, before they can pull them out.
If you are choking and are alone, try to get yourself into a high-traffic area, such as a hallway in a building or outside your house. If you pass out, you're way more likely to be found as opposed to being in a room in a building or your house. Call 911 even though you can't speak. Someone will be sent to your location by dispatch.

Martinez explains to Business Insider how dispatchers decide who gets help first for police, ambulance, and fire services, why they sometimes have to drop one call to save another, and the "caller hacks" that can literally save your life.
But if we're not prepared, panic and confusion can hinder our ability to act appropriately when they need us most. The best way to increase your chances of responding quickly and calmly is to familiarize yourself with basic pet first aid techniques. Though never a substitute for veterinary treatment, properly applied first aid can minimize a pet's trauma and even save their life until you are able to transport them to a veterinarian,
