TOKYO -- Sha'Carri Richardson and Noah Lyles blasted through the anchor legs of back-to-back wins in the rainy 4x100s Sunday night to close out world championships with a relay sweep for the U.S. Richardson received the baton with a .01-second deficit against Jamaica, but made it up and then held on for a .04-second margin. The winning time was 41.75 seconds.

Lyles finished in 19.52 seconds for a .06-second margin over Bednarek, who led the final at the halfway point, fell behind by a few steps but was closing the gap over the final footsteps.

There was jawing, the shove and, then, Lyles turning around, backpedaling, reaching his arms out and bouncing up and down like a boxer before lobbing a few more choice words at Bednarek.

Lyles reeling in Bednarek in the homestretch resulted in a post-race confrontation, where Bednarek shoved Lyles after finishing second in the 200-meter final.
