the NFL has decided to keep the Patriots vs. Bills game in the 1 p.m. slot on CBS when New England returns from its bye week. Tuesday stood as the deadline for the league to move that game, with the NFL opting to keep that Week 15 bout in the early afternoon. The Patriots are riding a 10-game win streak after taking care of the Giants on Monday Night Football
The game took place on October 26th which is a significant time in the world of television. Annual ratings are about to be assessed and established and typically we see the NFL and its broadcast partners get particularly strategic with how they schedule games/teams to set themselves up in as best of a position as possible. We can see this with the next seven weeks and how the NFL has strategically lined up the Cowboys.
Also, it seems that somebody in the N.F.L.'s league office likes them, because the Chiefs are scheduled to play in more high-profile games this season than any other team. They started the season in São Paulo, Brazil, playing the Los Angeles Chargers, on the vanguard of the N.F.L.'s imperial ambitions. They played the Eagles in Week Two, in a rematch of the Super Bowl on Fox. They play in the prime Sunday-night slot three times, and on Monday Night Football twice.
