The living room is evolving into a strategic digital space, with TVs becoming integrated platforms for media, commerce, and user engagement.
Control of the platform layer is central to competition in the connected TV market. Operating systems determine what content consumers see, how services are positioned, and how advertising is delivered.
EA's Battlefield is reportedly attracting Hollywood's attention, with Christopher McQuarrie set to write, direct, and produce the adaptation, and Michael B. Jordan attached as a producer. The project is being pitched to various studios, aiming for a theatrical release.
The KB7 is the flagship, a tenkeyless board with a 4.3-inch Command Touch Display built into it. Think of it as a Stream Deck fused onto your keyboard, letting you swap profiles, trigger macros, manage audio, or push OBS scene changes with a tap.
The PS5 Pro is getting the biggest price increase of all. The console launched in 2024 with a $700 price tag. In August 2025, it, along with other PS5 consoles, got a price increase, with the Pro jumping to $750. And next week, it leaps up to $900, which represents a $200 price increase in two years.
According to Digi Capital augmented and virtual reality are about to explode as VCs and corporates get in on the act. Facebook's multi-billion dollar acquisition of Oculus got everyone's attention early last year, but it's only really in the last 12 months that investments have accelerated, with more than $1bn pouring into the sector. Meanwhile Mashable reports Nokia's virtual reality camera is now available for pre-order for a cool $60,000.

The console wars died down not because any side won, but because it became irrelevant. Major games, seeking to make their gigantic budgets back, went platform agnostic. Where once companies had splurged on making consumers identify with specific console platforms, suddenly where you play games had become a much less defining factor.
The higher bitrate streaming option will let subscribers with an Xbox Series X or S, Xbox One X or Xbox One play their games at a higher resolution, provided the game and their display supports it. Microsoft previously only offered 1440p streams on select Fire TVs, LG TVs, Samsung TVs, web browsers and the Xbox PC app.
