Willie Nelson's song 'Touch Me' propelled him to fame, but it was also the debut hit for Morris 'Howdy' Glenn, a Black country artist. Glenn's music was quickly overlooked and forgotten.
Archival record label Omnivore Recordings released a compilation of Glenn's work last year, bringing attention to his contributions to country music. His album notes are nominated for a Grammy. [ more ]
