At 1:50 p.m. on Friday, Mono County Dispatch received multiple calls from hikers on the Parker Lake Trail, near June Lake in the Sierra Nevada, the Mono County Sheriff's Office reported. The hikers reported shots fired in their vicinity. The dispatcher could hear the sound of gunshots on the phone call.
