Thailand launched airstrikes along its disputed border with Cambodia on Monday morning, its army said, as both countries accused each other of starting the fresh escalation. The Royal Thai Army accused Cambodian troops of attacking its personels in the Sisaket province on December 7. In a social media post, the army said there had been another clash in the Ubon Ratchathani Province on Monday morning, which prompted the airstrikes.

Five Pakistani soldiers and 25 militants from the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) extremist group were killed overnight on October 25, Pakistan's Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement sent to the media on October 26. ISPR added that the clashes occurred when militants tried to enter the country's Kurram and North Waziristan districts along the northwestern border with Afghanistan.

Afghanistan said Sunday it killed 58 Pakistani soldiers in overnight border operations, in response to what it called repeated violations of its territory and airspace. Earlier in the week, Afghan authorities accused Pakistan of bombing the capital, Kabul, and a market in the country's east. Pakistan did not claim responsibility for the assault. The Taliban government's chief spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, said Afghan forces have captured 25 Pakistani army posts, 58 soldiers have been killed, and 30 others wounded.
