"What if 'The Hum' is the culmination of all the pain in the world, creating an audible signal across the universe?" Converge vocalist Jacob Bannon reflects on the inspiration behind the album.

Panopticon and Catharsis are doing a short co-headlining East Coast tour together this fall! The tour kicks off in Boston on October 8 before hitting Brooklyn's Market Hotel on October 9 and then shows in Philly and Baltimore. Tickets go on sale Friday (3/6).

There were laughs of surprise around me in screen three of the Everyman in Muswell Hill, north London, as 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple drew to its conclusion. The trek is routed around Napalm Death's festival appearances at Welcome to Rockville (May 7th), Sonic Temple (May 14th), and Maryland Deathfest (May 20th). Headlining dates run from May 8th in Tampa, Florida, through June 14th in Vancouver, with Deadguy supporting select shows from May 11th through May 23th, and Primitive Man opening certain dates between May 21st and June 14th.

"Certainty" is certainly one of the best songs by Black Veil Brides to date. Forget that this is the same band from their 2010 debut album We Stitch These Wounds, because this doesn't sound anything like that, nor is it remotely screamo. Rather, we get high caliber melodic metalcore with some nice alt-rock inflections via the clean singing of vocalist Andy Biersack. He sounds equally strong during the harsh, chuggy parts here, as well.

The trek celebrates Five Finger Death Punch's 20th anniversary, and the veteran band will be allocating a portion of ticket sale proceeds to support high-performance programs for US athletes as they prepare for international competition, including the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games. Specifically, founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory has selected USA Judo, the National Governing Body for Judo in the US, as his beneficiary, while vocalist Ivan Moody will direct his contribution to the USA Cycling BMX Racing and BMX Freestyle teams.

Bass Magazine celebrated all things bass at their annual awards on Thursday night (1/23), which happened at The Observatory in Santa Ana. Les Claypool was one of the evening's honorees, and he performed with Primus, who had a few special guests on hand for the occasion. They brought out Green Day's Mike Dirnt and Tool's Justin Chancellor for "Too Many Puppies," Metallica's Robert Trujillo for "My Name is Mud," and Marcus Miller for "Tommy the Cat." Exodus with Rob Dukes is a whole 'nother beast. "3111" marks the vocalist's return to the fold after last appearing on an album in 2010, and what a return it is. On a song that's about narco killings in Juarez, Dukes gives a sufficiently menacing performance that's startlingly unhinged. The other members of Exodus said Dukes gave "the performance of his life" on the band's upcoming album

The vibe and feel of this new one is almost addictive. We couldn't be happier with how it came out and we can't wait for everyone to hear it! This album takes what we've done on the last couple of records and truly brings it to a new level. The material stays true to our roots, but also goes into some new territory at times, being somewhat ambitious, but taking nods from even our earliest moments.

Avatar have announced a Spring 2026 US tour with Fleshgod Apocalypse and Frozen Soul. Dates kick off April 16th in Sacramento, California, and run through May 20th in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. The itinerary includes stops in Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and New York City, as well as festival appearances by Avatar at Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple.

It wouldn't be a season of A.V. Undercover without an appearance from GWAR, especially when the lineup consists of returning acts, including , Chelsea Studios NYC late last year, it was to join the ranks of Chappell Roan's "Pink Pony Club," and transform "the song's glitter-drenched celebration of identity and self-expression into a full-scale alien-metal spectacle." Mission accomplished: Rhett Miller , and The Wood Brothers . The only real question was which song the intergalactic rockers (by way of Richmond, Virginia) would choose from .
